Non-Profit Security Grant Program (NSGP)

This grant helps private schools and nonprofit organizations improve their physical security. Schools can apply for up to $600,000 per year, with no match required. Funds must be used within three years, and applications can be submitted annually. 

Eligible technology includes:

  • Purchase and installation of security hardware, including surveillance and access control
  • Security assessments, planning and training

Enrollment: February - April

School Violence Protection Program
School Violence Protection Program (SVPP)

This grant is available to public K-12 school districts. Schools can apply for up to $500,000 per year, with a required 25% match from the applicant. This is a reimbursement program, and funds must be used within two years. Applications can be submitted annually.

Eligible technology includes:

  • Technology for emergency notification of law enforcement
  • Intercoms, alarm buttons, surveillance cameras and access control technology

Enrollment: March - May
