Vicon Industries Inc (“We” or “Us”) built the V-Pass Mobile app (the “App”) as a free app which allows users (“Users” or “You”) to have greater control over the security of their building and remotely unlock access points (the Service”). The App is connected to Our proprietary software (the “Software”) that resides in the Cloud or is deployed locally on User’s server and hosted by User.
This Data Collection & Privacy Policy is intended to inform Users of the type of data collected by Our App (the “Data”) and Our practices regarding the collection and use of the Data when Users use the App. Your use of the App indicates Your understanding and agreement with the terms of this Data Collection & Privacy Policy.
The Data We collect from Your App usage is primarily technical in nature and allows Us to: monitor usage of the App and its features, keep track of any bugs or similar issues with the App and helps Us make improvements to the App and Our Service generally. Tracking the features and frequency of use by our Users gives us valuable information on where We should be focusing or R&D resources in the future.
We collect the following Data when You use the App, which is logged and sent to a third-party service provider in an aggregated form for analytic purposes.
Any Data that We collect through the App is used exclusively for analytics, providing and improving the App and our Service. We will not collect, use or share any information that personally identifies you.
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the App we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the App when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics that we see in aggregated form.
